Corvette Funfest 2018
Our annual trip to the CORVETTE FUNFEST for this year kicked off at YACHTS TO SEA just north of Nashville IL. The morning was grey and a bit chilly with rain threatening.
Nevertheless, eight Corvettes hit the road heading north to IL Rte. 177 at New Minden and then east through Hoyleton and Irvington to IL Rte 37 at Dix. Turning north again we completed the longest leg of the journey up to Rte 45 and on through Effingham to our destination north of town.
Yes it rained on us off and on and remained chilly and grey most of the day. We settled into our parking spots which turned out to be worth the extra fee and ventured out into 2018's edition of the Funfest. First orders of the day were to check in at registration and then check out the Fun Dome for bargains and specials...Next order was my favorite .... find something to eat!

There was an opening ceremony held on the stage to celebrate this being the 25th Funfest and fest founder and owner of Mid America Motorworks, Mike Yager, spoke and introduced several notables and personalities from around the Corvette world. After checking out the vendors' tents and walking through literally acres of Corvettes , we gravitated back to our parking area where out came the lawn chairs and snacks... hot diggity, More eats!
